Broaden your horizons beyond the usual scope of a real estate lawyer. If you feel your current role isn’t challenging or stimulating enough, please do get in touch.
My client is one of the few City firms that permits its commercial real estate solicitors to hold onto such a varied diet of work. Essentially, the specialist work that would normally be sent across to a dedicated planning & environmental or construction & projects team, for example, is retained by this real estate practice and handled by the same lawyers who are carrying out the investment, development and landlord & tenant work.
Accordingly, this is a role that will only really interest an intellectually bright lawyer who would relish this level of variety and would enjoy becoming a multi-specialist. Additionally, at this firm you would also gain exposure to very high quality work; it’s not the sort of practice clients instruct on run-of-the-mill transactions. Rather, the work tends to be on a grander scale, such as premier league football stadia redevelopments; regeneration central London with significant transportation considerations; and large property portfolio deals.
Given the technical nature of the work, naturally, you will be given amble training & support, yet you will also be offered plenty of autonomy so that you can show your potential.
Being one of the most prestigious legal brands, the salary is up there with the best of the City firms, too.
