Our client is seeking an experienced Pension Solicitor to join a dynamic Defined Benefits Legal team within a leading insurance organisation. This is a pivotal role offering autonomy and influence, where you will deliver high-quality legal support across complex transactions and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted legal advisor on DB pension schemes, transactional matters, and contractual negotiations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and legal colleagues to achieve strategic objectives.
- Manage and deliver project-related legal activity efficiently and on time.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate legal risks in line with organisational risk frameworks.
- Keep senior counsel informed of emerging risks and developments.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Expertise in Pensions law, particularly Defined Benefit schemes (experience with DC schemes is advantageous).
- Familiarity with insurance and reinsurance law is desirable.
- Proven track record in DB de-risking and Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) contracts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in high-volume transactional environments.
