Banking & Finance Associate
We are working with a highly regarded UK firm to recruit a mid-level Associate for its expanding Banking & Finance team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value deals across corporate lending, infrastructure finance and real estate/development finance, all within a collaborative and intellectually driven environment.
The Practice
The team advises a wide range of lenders and borrowers — major financial institutions, funds, corporates, sponsors and investors — across the full spectrum of debt finance. Their work spans:
- Corporate lending and leveraged/acquisition finance
- Real estate investment and development finance
- Infrastructure and energy project finance
- Fund finance, asset-backed lending and structured facilities
You’ll work within an integrated national team, often alongside specialists in corporate, real estate, tax and infrastructure, on domestic and international matters. The practice is well known for its technical strength and its role in significant, market-shaping transactions.
What You Will Do
- Support partners and senior lawyers on a variety of finance transactions
- Draft and negotiate facility and security documentation
- Manage workstreams, liaise with clients and coordinate deal execution
- Contribute to client relationship building and the wider development of the team
About You
- England & Wales qualified solicitor, ideally 2+ PQE (including senior associate level)
- Experience in banking/finance transactions (any mix of corporate, real estate, leveraged, project or fund finance welcomed)
- Strong drafting, commercial judgement and organisational skills
- A collaborative, proactive approach and enthusiasm for developing broad finance expertise
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- High-quality clients: lenders, funds, corporates and energy/infrastructure players
- Significant visibility and responsibility, with support from senior experts
- A culture known for being friendly, collaborative and deeply invested in associate development
- Opportunity to build a diverse finance skillset rather than being pigeonholed
